Overview

Green Technology is part of our initiative to expand the income streams of PERNEC. Being part of the Permodalan Nasional Bhd’s group, PERNEC is well positioned to provide renewable energy sources for a wide range of applications. The renewable energy sector will also support its payphone operations in particular and enable Pernec to offer Total Sustainable Integrated Telecommunication Solutions.

The main target of this business segment is to develop solutions for remote/rural telecommunication stations. With the iWind wind turbine technology, Pernec is offering a hybrid solar and wind powered system that can not only support its payphones but also lightings and air-conditioners that will reduce energy costs significantly for the rural communities.

The green technology sector will enable Pernec to expand its manufacturing operations as most of the vital components will be manufactured by its manufacturing subsidiary, Pernec Advanced Network Sdn Bhd.
