Pernec PayPoint is aggressively expanding this wifi platform in an effort to enhance the level of broadband internet penetration particularly among the rural communities. The deployment of the Network Service Provider licence secured from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission has created an impetus for Pernec PayPoint to become one of the leaders among the providers of wifi internet services

All of its more than 35,000 payphones in the whole of Malaysia can be utilised to provide wireless broadband network using the Group’s revolutionary eRas (extended radio access system) 1.8 system.

In addition to providing the hardware for WiFi coverage, Pernec PayPoint is also promoting the content/application development for the rural communities through our Halalsquare.com and eBekal business portals.
